Eating meat is always fraught with problems: impossible without killing the animal. In Boef Sous Vide, an animal is accompanied – from the pasture to the plate, nose to tail in purest form.
In this artistic intervention in particular, Sandra Knecht explores what we actually eat, what it signifies and how we could (better) treat it. The work comprises photographs, a video and a social happening performed at Zurich’s Kaufleuten Club.
